Shared Stock Management

4 key differences of shared stock management.

Real-time

When the store POS draws down stock, your e-commerce site and marketplaces update in sub-second time. Not "syncs later" — instant and accurate.

Every location in one pool

Stores, warehouses, and 3PLs come together in one pool; the customer sees "one brand inventory". Behind the scenes the system automatically decides which location ships.

Safety Stock Automation

Keep the right product ready at the right time with enough stock. The system analyzes sales and stock movements to automatically determine the safety stock level required for each product. This reduces the risk of stock-outs during unexpected demand spikes or supply delays while preventing the cost of holding excess stock.

Smart stock distribution

Optimizes stock across warehouses, stores, and 3PL locations based on demand and sales performance. Placing the right product in the right location reduces stock transfers and lost sales.

Architecture

Every movement, step by step on the record

Stock data is kept as a ledger where every movement (sale, return, transfer, count correction) is written sequentially. Current stock is computed on the fly from the ledger or read from cache for fast access. Every entry is ordered, and the same entry processed twice doesn't change the result — so stock stays consistent at all times.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Inventory

Are channel updates really sub-second?
Critical channels like marketplaces use a priority queue; less time-sensitive channels use batched updates. You can see the real-time lag per channel in the management panel.
How do you manage marketplace API rate limits?
Throughput is automatically tuned per marketplace. The limits of major marketplaces like Trendyol, Hepsiburada, and Amazon are defined in the system; as the limit approaches, updates are prioritized and batched.
Does oversell happen during peak periods?
With rule-based safety margins we target near-zero rates. The average across our customers' last 3 peak 11.11 events is around 4 in 10,000 — i.e., only 4 of every 10,000 orders saw oversell.
Which direction does ERP stock sync run?
Bidirectional and configurable. The common setup: Omniens is the source of truth for store and channel movements, while the ERP is the source of truth for purchasing and supplier side.
Where is product master data (images, descriptions, attributes) stored?
Omniens has its own Product Information Management (PIM) module, or it can connect to an existing PIM like Salsify. Version control and approval flows are managed.
Are product variants (size, color, lot) supported?
Yes. There's a multi-level variant model. Combinations like color × size × lot × expiry date can be managed under a single parent SKU.
